Job Title: Financial Planning Administrator
Location: London Paddington Office
Salary: £28,000 to £33,000 dependent on experience
Start Date: To be confirmed
Contract type: temporary, full-time (Monday to Friday 8.15 to 5.30)

You will begin working as a trainee financial planning assistant, which is also known as a paraplanner in our industry. During this time, you will study towards the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute. You will receive professional training, a structured study plan and study days away from the office to revise. Unividual will sponsor you through all of this including the cost of learning materials*. This is combined with on-the-job training giving you all the tools to become part of Unividual’s financial planning team. Eventually you will become a professional in areas such as pensions, protection, mortgages, investments, tax and trusts, wealth management, estate planning and much more. Once you have become a Chartered Financial Planner you can choose between two career paths. The first option is to become a technical specialist or team leader. The second is to become a financial adviser, where you can run your own mini-business within the the Unividual environment.
Example of every day duties
- Communicate with the financial advisers to discuss client financial objectives
- Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cashflow forecast
- Prepare information and comparisons for analysis by planner
- Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off by planner
- Write letters and emails to clients and product providers
- Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regards to client risk profile
- Conduct medical questionnaires and chase doctors for information
- Liaising and chasing product providers on behalf of clients
- Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
- Implement chosen investment strategies and make changes to clients’ investments as instructed
