A little bit about me

I have worked in the financial services industry since the age of 16. Some would say it was in my blood, as my father John Baxter established Unividual in 2000. Since joining I moved from the “office junior” to becoming one of the youngest financial adviser’s ever to achieve Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society in 2011, an accolade which only just over 900 advisers in the UK have obtained.

Now I am a well-established Chartered Financial Planner and shareholder/Director of Univdual. This combination of practical experience and technical knowledge allows me to provide a high level of quality financial advice to not just families and professionals but business owners alike. My combination of business and financial advisory experience along with my technical knowledge is perfectly placed for clients with wealth complexities and business owners.

However, the reason I got in to financial planning was to help people. Whilst I have a large number of clients that vary in size of wealth I also relish working with younger people who are just starting out or business owners who are at the early stages of their growth. For me it is just as rewarding helping someone buy their first home as it is helping a person save enough to retire and purchase their dream yacht. No matter who you are, if you are looking for a financial planner who is straight talking, very knowledgeable and has huge amounts of empathy then please get in touch with me and we can start off just by getting to know each other.

Unividual London and inspiring the next generation

Unividual London was launched in 2018 and as a director, Lewis helps us to better serve our clients from our London office. He established Unicademy, alongside Unividual Marketing Director, Cherie-Ann, to help combat the low number and ageing population of qualified financial advisers & paraplanners, the level of diversity and female representation in the industry, and to ensure a continued availability of financial advice for generations to come.

Hear from one of our London clients, Poonam

Unividual was recommended to me by a friend and colleague. This has been one of the best decisions I have made, from day one my adviser took the time to understand my financial position and goals. Unividual is professional, knowledgeable and personable, patient, detail orientated, understand what clients want and will cover a range of options whether its pensions, investments, mortgages. I’ve been introduced to a range of new products and this has created a positive shift in both my financial position and mindset. I am looking forward to continue working with Unividual to achieve my financial goals and would definitely recommend their services to others going forward.

Lewis spearheads support for homelessness

This year’s Big Sleep Out was sponsored by Unividual in a bid to support homeless charity Julian House.  It’s a grim realisation, that without support of a charity like Julian House, the life expectancy of a long-term homeless person is just 44 years. Lewis and his team took on the sleep out challenge in March 2022 and in the process also raised vital funds. The Financial Planning Director, Lewis Baxter said: “Anyone living in a city in the UK knows the importance of helping the local charities that support men, women and children without homes. When we sit down every day to help clients manage their money, few people realise many of us are just one pay-cheque away from living on the streets. It only takes one failed relationship, the death of a loved one or a closed business. The best thing anyone can do when seeing someone sleeping on the streets is to think how can I help get them back on their feet instead of stereotyping people.” In total with sponsorship and donations Unividual raised just short of £10,000 for Julian house.
