Success for Unicademy graduate

New Model Adviser has named Scott Gurd as one of the Top 35 financial planners in the country under 35. Scott Gurd, pictured, came up through the Unicademy programme, Unividual’s Chartered Financial Planner school. He  has worked for Unividual for ten years now and said: “It was an honour to be named as one of the UK’s Top 35 next generation of adviser. The academy was created as a fast-track programme to take someone, like me, from having no industry experience to being the most highly-qualified and competent financial adviser in the industry. This just proves the success and impact it has had on my career.”

How are Unividual's Financial Planners different?

In choosing this year’s cohort, New Model Adviser paid particular attention to entrants whose achievements went far beyond just the certificates on their mantelpieces. Instead they focused on the impact a financial planner has on the clients they serve and on the businesses they work in.  Additionally, they focused on the volunteering successful entrants do in their communities. In an age where younger people are often attacked for not being well-rounded, these acts go some way to showing that Unividual’s people are bucking the trend.  Scott was selected for the support he provides to aspiring financial advisers in Unicademy. However, what really shone through was the quality of financial advice he provides to clients. They also made particular note of the financial security he achieves for clients despite the unexpected that can happen in life, such as ill health or separation.
