Ask Greg a question

A little bit about me

“After completing a Law degree and LL.M LPC I wanted a career that would make the most of my core skills, like research, analysis, criticism, theoretical discussions and communication. Unividual approached me about its Chartered Financial Planner academy, Unicademy, and since then I haven’t looked back. Over the years I have absorbed intense details of technical knowledge and through a combination of this learning and a lot of practical experience I have obtained Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society which is the highest accolade in the UK. I proudly became Unividual’s Development Director in January 2021, a role I perform alongside working with my clients as a financial adviser.”

Listen to Greg on Radio Bath's Brave Conversations

Greg has done a series of Podcasts called Brave Finance Conversations, all features on Unividual’s YouTube Channel. In this episode he helps business owners understand their options around retirement versus business exit and the impact that relying on a business sale to fund retirement has a someone’s finances. It also covers the psychology behind retirement and focuses on the question “What are you retiring to?” as not everyone wants to stop working when they retire.

Making a positive impact

“There is real opportunity in financial services to make a positive difference to the lives of others. Financial planning gives clients confidence when making decisions about money, decisions which impact on their lifetime goals. You can’t get many careers more rewarding than that. I focus on offering lifetime financial planning in all areas of business and personal finance. I am also qualified to advise on equity release, occupational pension transfers and long-term care which means I can help my clients in areas that are becoming increasingly important.”

Hear from some of my clients

"Finance people left us feeling inadequate, Greg is compassionate, never did we feel intimidated"

Unividual has been working with The Table Creative since 2020. They got in touch as the business started growing, at a point where the business owners started to question whether they were managing the risk in the business, reviewing staff benefits and how to better manage assets and planning for retirement.

"Greg is not afraid to say things as they are whilst always being a consummate professional"

Sarah started working with Unividual in her mid fifties and like many people she had amassed 11 different pensions. To Sarah she felt in a mess and so she set about finding a company to help her consolidate her pensions and plan for the future.  As a university registrar she is used to “esoteric language” and she wanted to find someone who would put her at ease and help her understand things well.

"Exemplary experience of how to advise a client on service benefits without any pressure"

Andy got in touch with Unividual after speaking with Pension Wise. He wanted to find a local financial planning firm that could set up and manage a pension planning service. It was important to Andy that he got on well with his adviser and he found someone who was professional in manner and had the patience to educate and explain everything properly so that Andy had the freedom to make his own decisions.

"I am cautious when it comes to financial matters, preferring stable options with a low return"

Frank is an engineer and has contributing in to pensions for years.  On getting in touch he was planning on retiring. Frank was upfront about how cautious he is when it comes to financial matters. He was kind enough to talk us through the decisions he made and the extra support Unividual gave him around tax planning.

Who I work with

“A lot of my clients are small to medium sized business owners, directors or leaders within a larger organisation. I enjoy working with people who run businesses because they are entrepreneurial, challenge me and they enjoy my professional yet collaborative approach. This suits clients who are used to being at the peak of their career and appreciate a respectful relationship.”

“Each of my clients is unique and I adapt the different levels of service they need, especially as they enter through the different stages of their life. Most of my clients don’t have time to organise their finances and would rather spend that time on other areas in their life like family, hobbies or work. Their finances also become very complex and they are the first to admit that it is time for a professional to take over their money management, someone they can bounce off, hold to account and who can be there for them through the good and bad times.”

“Business owners, shareholders, entrepreneurs who want to explore the benefits of a financial adviser, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Feel assured that there is no pressure, we can meet up for a first meeting and find out whether financial advice is right for you and whether I am the right kind of financial planner for you. This won’t cost you any more than an hour or so of your time, either at our London or Bath office or at a place that is convenient to you.”

Greg is one of the Top 35 next generation of advisers in the UK

Greg has been awarded as one of 2019’s Top 35 next generation of advisers in the UK. This achievement looks at advisers in the UK who have had the most impact on clients, the businesses they are part of and the pro-bono work they do. Greg was selected for the significant amount of time he spends on nurturing the future generation of financial planners through work experience, interview practice sessions and guidance to local school children. His approach to financial planning as being for life was key, not just to people but businesses as well, of all generations. They liked his beliefs that everyone should have access to financial advice and Greg’s client demographic evidenced that. The quality of financial planning Greg offers to clients was seen through achieving client feedback averaging 4.9/5 on an independent review website and 5/5 on his Facebook page.
